So you can enjoy the benefits of being a guest with a little more room and privacy. Many folks think Door Peninsula Cottages and cabins are the same type of lodging. While both are more secluded and rustic there is a difference. So for our purposes, and yours, lets consider cottages and cabins separate types of accommodations. We view cottages as “almost as a house,” granted a small house. They should be well equipped and tastefully appointed. A great middle ground for those who can’t choose between a rental home and a hotel/resort.
One last thing. Styles and amenities differ greatly from location to location. PLEASE call ahead or check web sites to make sure you know exactly what type of stay you can expect. Some people are shocked to find that some cottages do not even have air conditioning.

Alpine Inn & Cottages Located on the grounds of the Alpine Inn. These are clean and well-kept cottages near the water. Choose from one, two, and three bedroom cottages. Maid service is available daily to make you stay totally carefree. The Alpine is one of our favorite traditional Door County Resorts, they do everything right. Their cottages are no exception.
