Door County Beaches

Beach lovers will find plenty of public Door County Beaches nestled along the Peninsula shoreline. Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Baileys Harbor Ephraim, and Jacksonport all have fine beaches.

Peninsula State Park, Potowatomi State Park, Newport State Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park also feature great beaches perfect for swimming.

And Door Peninsula beaches are not just for beach bums. Have a beach picnic, paint some inspiring beach art, snap photos of pleasant summer vistas, go scuba diving, or just go for a walk.

Southern Door County Beaches

Otumba Park
On Sturgeon Bay’s West Side
While driving north on Hwy 42/57 exit on Business 42/57 stoplight at County Hwy “S”. Follow the hill down Madison Avenue. Just the before the downtown bridge turn left on Larch Street at Bridgeport Resort. Go one block west to South Lansing Avenue. Turn right on South Lansing Avenue and follow this road to Otumba Park. In addition to the beach is a very nice small park with a playground.

Sunset Park
On Sturgeon Bay’s East side
While driving north on Hwy 42/57 exit on Business 42/57 stoplight at County Hwy “S”. Follow the hill down Madison Avenue and cross the downtown bridge. Hang a left on First Avenue, the first left after the bridge and right by Stone Harbor Resort. Follow First Avenue until it curves into Third Avenue. Turn left on Third Avenue and go past Bishop Building where you will find the park.

Whitefish Dunes State Park
While driving North on Hwy 57, follow County WD (Clarks Lake Road) east to the entrance of Whitefish Dunes State Park.

Clarks Lake Beach
Follow County WD (Clarks Lake Road) east; turn on Park Road and follow road to beach.

Lakeside Park
Right off Highway 57 and located in downtown Jacksonport.

Anclam Park
Off of Highway 57 near the south end of Baileys Harbor.

Baileys Harbor Ridges
While on Highway 57 turn onto Ridges Road by the Sandpiper Restaurant. Take Ridges Road to the beach.

Southern Door County Beaches

Murphy Park
Just south of Egg Harbor on County Highway “G”

Egg Harbor Beach
North of the Alpine Resort, just off of County Highway “G”.

Fish Creek Beach
Located right in Fish Creek, on the west side of Highway 42.

Nicolet Bay Beach
Located in Peninsula State Park. Enter off Highway 42 in Fish Creek.

Ephraim Village Beach
Located on the south side of Ephraim, right off of Highway 42.

Sister Bay Park
Located on the West Side of Highway 42 in downtown Sister Bay.

Ellison Bay Beach
On the south end of Ellison Bay along Highway 42.

Newport State Park
Take Highway 42,to County NP, also known as Newport Drive, and follow the Newport State Park signs

On Washington Island try ...

Percy Johnson Memorial County Park
Take Lobdell Point Road from the ferry dock to Airport Road. Hang a left on Airport Road and then a right onto Lakeview Road. Take Lakeview Road to Percy Johnson Memorial County Park.

Schoolhouse Beach
Leave the ferry dock on Lobdell Point Road to Airport Road. Turn left on Airport Road and go to the north end of the island where you will find Schoolhouse Beach.

Rock Island ...

Island State Park Beach
There is a swimming beach on the south shore of the island. Just look for the trail signs.
