Door County Guide

Baileys Harbor Wisconsin

Baileys Harbor Wisconsin is located on Lake Michigan, “the quiet side “ of the Door Peninsula. Many veteran Door County travelers make the village their home away from home. Don’t let the town's small size fool you. World-class recreation activities and lodging are here. See why Baileys Harbor may be perfect for you.

The area has thousands of acres of wetlands and wilderness. Much of the natural beauty is preserved as part of Björklunden; Toft's Point and the Mud Lake Wildlife Area.

Birding and hiking are at their very best at the Ridges Sanctuary. The Ridges, a privately held wildflower preserve, includes the Baileys Harbor Rangelight and Lighthouse, and a beautiful sand beach that's open to the public.

Baileys Harbor Dining

When you need a bite to eat try…

Coyote Roadhouse
3026 County Rd. Hwy. E,
(Go to the west shore of Kangaroo Lake)
920-839-9192

This place is a little out of the way but worth the effort!
The Roadhouse has the look and feel of an early roadhouse. The interior has lots of wood planking and raw wood finishing adding a ton of north woods character.

While out of state plates are becoming more common lots of locals go here. The food is good solid pub fare and includes steaks, ribs, sandwiches and an interesting onion loaf. It’s a great place to relax with some appetizers and drinks.

Baileys Harbor Marina

No discussion of the area would be complete without mentioning the town marina. The marina more than fulfills the needs of the yachting and sport fishing public. This is a full service facility with gas and diesel refueling, current weather reports; seasonal or transient slip rentals, a computerized advanced reservations system, and acceptance of major credit cards.

You will love the fact that there are restrooms, showers, and a laundry located adjacent to the Marina in the Dock Master headquarters. Fishing Licenses are sold at the registration desk. When you dock after day fishing you will appreciate the modern fish cleaning station.

This is one of the best Marinas you will find in all of Door County.
